COMPANY
This level is for the most advanced dancers in the school. The Ballet Lubbock Company offers our students the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a professional dancer. As a company member, dancers learn to work in an environment with higher expectations, and a more performance-based setting than the average academy program. Students engage in rigorous rehearsals with the reward of year-round performance opportunities.
The Modern class is designed to build a technique balanced by correct alignment, strength, flexibility, coordination, and musicality. Dancers explore the inner connections that are necessary for freedom and ease in creative, outward expression. They will explore more choreographic elements.
Technique and Pointe Class meet 4x a week for 90 – 120 minutes. Modern class meets 1x a week for 75 minutes. Rehearsals are called on Thursdays and Saturdays with the possibility of additional rehearsals on additional days.
**Students are invited to Level 2 and each subsequent level after they have demonstrated full understanding of the previous level’s curriculum.
