PURCHASING TICKETS

Where do I purchase tickets?

Tickets to performances may be purchased through the performance page on the Ballet Lubbock website Performances Pages or the Select A Seat Box Office at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

I’m having an issue with my tickets. What should I do?

Any ticket questions or concerns (switching dates, lost email, etc.) should be directed to Select A Seat by calling (806) 770-2000. Ballet Lubbock does not sell tickets to performances directly.

Should I have my tickets mailed to me?

When time allows, it is best to have your tickets mailed to you in advance. This cuts down on time spent waiting in line. When your tickets arrive, confirm you have the correct number of tickets for the correct performance date and time.

If the performance is less than a week away, Will Call is your best option.

Will I get the best seats if I purchase my tickets online? Can I select specific seats?

You may select specific seats online. The surefire way to get the best seats possible is to purchase your tickets early or to become a Friend of the Ballet. Friends of the Ballet can purchase production tickets two to four weeks before the general public!

ATTENDING A PERFORMANCE

At what age is appropriate to bring a child to a Ballet Lubbock performance?

While our performances are magical for all ages, you are the best judge of your child’s preparedness to attend a 2-hour performance. Here are something things to consider before buying your child a ticket:

  • Is my child able to sit through a long movie without issue?
  • Is my child able to quietly whisper questions to me?
  • Have we discussed and practiced how we will behave at the ballet?
  • Where are our tickets located? Are we seated close to an exit in case of emergency bathroom breaks or unhappy moments?

How early should I arrive?

If your tickets are at Will Call, it’s best to be at the Civic Center at least 45 minutes prior to the performance. Lines to pick up tickets can be long.

If you have your tickets in hand, we recommend arriving 20-30 minutes before the performance. This will allow you plenty of time to get to your seat, purchase any concessions, and have a look at your program before the curtain goes up.

Remember to allow plenty of time for transportation, traffic delays, and parking.

What should I wear?

We say to wear whatever you will be most comfortable in. You will see audience members in gowns, suits, jeans, and everything in between. Looking for a reason to wear a new dress or suit? Go for it! Prefer to dress more casually? Come as you are!

CIVIC CENTER QUESTIONS

Where is the Civic Center?

The Lubbock Memorial Civic Center is located at 1501 Mac Davis Lane, Lubbock, TX 79401. We recommend parking on the west and south sides of the building.

Where do I pick up Will Call tickets?

Before the day of the performance, tickets are available to be picked up from the Box Office. On the day of the performance, Will Call tickets will be in the Will Call office, directly in front of the Civic Center Theater.

Is the Civic Center wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The Civic Center is equipped with ramps and lifts for those who need access to them. If you are in need of assistance, please ask an usher or a staff member. Please contact Select A Seat by calling (806) 770-2000 to purchase accessible seating.

Is there a Lost and Found at the Civic Center?

Yes. Lost and Found is located in the Box Office. If you realize you have left something behind, please call (806) 775-2242.
